Desert Greens/Lakeview Ladies Invitational

October 13, 2011 was a truly wonderful day for our third annual Desert Greens/Lakeview Ladies Golf Invitational. After enjoying a continental breakfast consisting of a variety of homemade coffee cakes prepared by Marietta Rio as well as coffee and juice, we gathered for a group picture taken by Dennis Suter and a review of the golf rules. We then teed off on Holes #1 and #5. As each group finished putting on #3, Bill Swab took their picture on the green. When play was done, the official scorekeepers figured all the scores while the ladies enjoyed each other’s company and a luncheon of lasagna, salad, sodas and iced tea, and brownies and pumpkin donut holes for dessert. After lunch, the winners of the tournament were announced and then we had a raffle drawing for four small golf tote bags - donated by Diane Swab, two bottles of wine donated by Diane and Judy Haas, and a wine basket and dining certificate donated by The Pahrump Valley Winery and Symphony’s Restaurant.
